BAU team members: Supervisory Special Agent David Rossi

David was one of the creators of the BAU and retired voluntarily from the team and returns several years after writing and succeeding as a writer to complete unfinished business from the past explained on episode 11 of 3rd season and solved of episode 14 of the same season.
Agent Rossi has divorced several times because of his job, something similar to Hotch and takes the place Gideon left.

BAU team members: Special Agent Emily Prentiss

Emily is the daughter of an embassador and gives such a suprise to Hotch and Gideon when she appears with her papers to be part of the Unit at the beginning of episode 9 of season 2.
She graduated from Yale and had worked with the FBI a long time before she got into the BAU.
Some cool data is that she speaks fluently spanish, arabic and russian since she had to travel all around the world with her father.
Prentiss once try to leave the team but Penelope talks her out but Chief Strauss told her that no one of the BAU will be able to climb to a better position which killed every expectation Emily had.
Emily takes the spot Elle left.

BAU team members: Special Agent Elle Greenaway

Elle was formerly assigned to the FBI Field Office in Seattle, Washington, and recently assigned to the BAU as an expert in sexual offense crimes. Her father was a police officer but was killed in the line of duty.
Some rarities are: she’s half cuban and that’s why she speaks spanish and that can be seen on episode 19, season 1; she was shot on episode 22, season 1; she goes out of her mind after she returns to the BAU after being shot and shoots a serial rapist maybe because she wanted to get fired from the team and be free to live her life.

BAU team members: Supervisory Special Agent Jason Gideon

Originally the best profiler at the BAU, Gideon helped Morgan and Reid move on of their nightmares though he could never escape his where six agents were killed after he took the decision of sending them into a warehouse.
He brought Spencer to the team and loved to play chess with him.
After some emotional cases, Jason felt totally sick of the BAU and decides to disappear after Hotch is suspended two weeks blaming himself for that and left Reid a letter kinda explaining why he left.

BAU team members: Audio/Visual Technician Penelope Garcia

Garcia is located at BAU headquarters at Quantico, she’s a computer freak-genious and helps the team search for information about the suspects and find links between them.
Her parents died in an auto accident due to a drunk driver when she was eighteen and she now helps counsel the families auto-accident victims in her spare time.
When she speaks with Morgan they use pet names such as "hot stuff" or "sweet cheeks" and many other nasty/cool things like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4npKVwiw3k&feature=related or this http://mx.youtube.com/watch?v=AHu7wktt3us&NR=1 or this http://mx.youtube.com/watch?v=yog9Ip5Mm2U&feature=related which is absolutely funny and also shows some crush between them though they’ve never had anything serious.
Other oddity I can recall is that Garcia has cried several times while watching the terrifying videos the teams sends to her and she was shot on episode 8 of the 3rd season.

BAU team members: Supervisory Special Agent Derek Morgan

Derek is a confident and assertive everyman character, son of an African-American father and Caucasian mother and is one of the agents that has much more action than other characters like bringing down doors, etc.
He has a black belt in Judo, runs FBI self-defense classes, and previously served in a bomb squad unit and as a Chicago police officer.
He is another child of abuse revealed on episode 12, season 2. Also in this episode Derek apparently looks as the killer of 3 kids in Chicago.
When he was young he had an extensive criminal record.

BAU team members: Special Agent Dr. Spencer Reid

Dr. Spencer Reid is 26 years old (though when the 1st season started he was 24), he's a misunderstood genius with an intelligence that makes him a great source of information for the BUA squad; his rank there is as Supervisory Special Agent and brought in by Gideon. He graduated from school at the age of 12, has 3 Ph. D’s, shot and killed 2 men while working for the BUA and he was held hostage in the middle of a mission. Reid is considered a little autistic that may be referred to Asperger Syndrome.
He developed and addiction after being kidnapped by a crime suspect, but his problem is solved several episodes later. He fell in love with a young actress, which he was protecting and also had feelings for her partner JJ.
Spencer lived with her father and mother back in Las Vegas, some time after Spencer’s mom developed schizophrenia and his father abandoned them because he couldn’t deal with this situation. While growing up he learnt everything he read from books he read, or her mother read to him which built the huge knowledge he posses. By the time he was 18, he thought his mom wasn’t having a good life so he took her to a mental institution, where she still remains. Reid is worried about his gene information, but so far he hasn’t developed any symptoms related to her mother’s disease.

BAU team members: Supervisory Special Agent Jennifer "JJ" Jareau

‘JJ’ has a very important rol inside this team, she is the voice of this team towards the media and other local agencies that will be working with them.
She’s not a profiler per se and once went on a date with Spencer but it didn’t actually work.
Jennifer graduated from East Allegheny High School in Pittsburgh, where she was the captain of the soccer team and earned an athletic scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh.
A very harsh impact was caused to JJ when Reid was kidnapped, after she was attacked by several dogs, which she shot and killed… apparently, was pretty shocking for her.

Agent Jareau is pregnant with Detective William LaMontagne Jr's baby and he asks her to marry him and on the last episode of 3rd season he lets her know that he’s willing to give up his job as a police to take care of the baby and Jennifer keep working on the BAU.

BAU team members: Supervisory Special Agent Aaron Hotchner

‘Hotch’, as he is also called, is the head of the BAU team. Though he looks tough on the outside, he has a huge heart and that’s shown as he struggles to distribute his time between his job and his family: Hayley and his son, Jack.
This is a current issue during the show, Hotch appears several times fighting with his wife (and then ex-wife) regarding the time issue, until Hayley decides to leave Hotch after he declines a transfer that supposedly allow him to have a normal job (from 9am – 5pm).
On the episode 11 of the 3rd season Hotch gets the divorce papers.
Other rarity from Aaron is that he was a child of abuse revealed on episode 8 from 1st season.
